HumanGroups helps organise contacts and groups in different contexts. At this stage, the priority is to make this foundation clear and useful in supporting HumanPlanner, while integration is still being consolidated.

A person may work with you, belong to an association or join a study project. We want to make that organisation easier without confusing contacts, accounts and access to information.
A place for contacts
Groups is the ecosystem’s foundation for people and contacts. The connection to Planner is being consolidated to reduce repeated information.
Meaningful groups
Organise people by contexts that make sense to you, such as a team or an association.
Thoughtful sharing
Recording someone is not inviting them. Having a contact in a group does not give them access to a project either.
Four distinctions that help
These differences explain each application’s role. During the initial test, start with fictional contacts and check access before sharing.
A contact is not an account
A person can be recorded as a contact without using NHG. Their access account is managed in Core.
A group is not project access
Grouping people helps organise relationships. Actual project access is a separate decision in Planner.
A group is not a workspace
A group organises people; a workspace organises a work context. Workspace membership is managed in Core.
A directory is not a public profile
Organising a contact does not mean publishing it to the whole community. Share only necessary and authorised information.
One contact foundation, different uses
This is the direction of integration, not a promise of complete synchronisation across every application. The current focus is supporting Planner.
HumanPlanner
Reusing contacts in project teams is the integration priority. Roles, responsibilities and project access remain in Planner.
HumanCore
Core manages accounts and workspaces. Any link between a contact and an account must be explicit; it does not arise merely from similar names or emails.
HumanSecrets
In the future, contacts and groups could help select recipients. Sharing private information would require its own rules; it is not available in this test.
HumanKind
A possible future use within mutual-support networks. First we want to understand needs, without presenting a finished application.
